Villa Huesgen Riesling Nine Generations Mosel, 2012

Germany – $16.80

Fragrant orange blossom and peach aromas are brightened with hints of lime and lemon on this dry, medium-bodied wine. Yellow peach and tangerine flavors are tart yet juicy on the palate, lifted by a streak of lime acidity and a murmur of tea-leaf astringency on the finish.

 

Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, 2013

New Zealand – $14.95

A delightful light lime in colour, this wine is showing aromas of fruit salad, passion fruit and white fleshed nectarines with underlying notes of jalapeno peppers and vine ripened tomato stalks. With its well defined backbone of acid this mouthful of goodness rolls out to a long dry finish.

Argentina – $14.95

Ruby red in complexion, the wine bursts with aromas of cassis, lavender, blueberry, and a subtle hint of cedar box. In the glass, it opens to reveal a dense mix of dark fruit flavors, currant, and crushed raspberry complimented with a nice floral lift. Tannins with soft definition provide for a pleasing and weighty finish.

 

Tintonegro Malbec Uco Valley Reserve, 2012

Argentina – $14.55

A beautiful, full-bodied, seriously endowed Malbec, it possesses a dense purple color along with a sweet bouquet of blueberry and black raspberry fruit interwoven with camphor, licorice and spring flowers as well as a touch of oak.

 

Koyle Cabernet Royale Alto Colchagua, 2011

Chile – $22.95

It’s dark, deep, piercing and perfumed, with fine tobacco and berry fruit aromas and flavors. Oak is well applied; the fruit intense and pure. Only the young, tough tannins need to be resolve) Produced from fruit in the cooler Alto Colchagua sub-zone of the Colchagua valley, this cab blend offers up a wonderful nose of cassis and some red fruit, which leads to a fresh, fruit forward, and very complete tasting palate impression. There is some malbec and carmenere blended into this wine which surely adds to the complexity, and satisfying range of flavors.

 

Carne Humana Napa Red Wine, 2012

California – $34.30

This wine has a hint of sweet tobacco, maple, cherry pie filling, black licorice and an enlivened, bright acidity on the entry that is quickly followed by rich, dark fruits, dried cranberry and sweet oak. Lingering finish.
