Angels & Cowboys Rose Sonoma County, ’15

California – $13.99

The color is a light blush of pale gray and pink. Aromas are minerally and ethereal with hints of grapefruit and spicy floral notes. In taste, the wine is lively and racy with flavors of citrus blossoms and minerals. On the palate, the Rosé displays vibrant acidity, with a full and silky mid palate.

 

Villa Wolf Pinot Noir, ’14

Germany – $14.85

With soft red fruits on the surface, but with earthy tannins and a spicy bite underneath.

 

Delas Cotes du Rhone ‘St. Espirit’, ’13

France – $12.95

This blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre has sweet raspberry and black cherry on the nose, with some herbs, licorice and pepper notes. Great fruit flavours in the mouth complement the herbs, spice and licorice notes.

The glass opens with a triple layered aroma of savory peppercorn and cocoa, jasmine flowers, and black fruit. ­e immediate dark chocolate structure provides the canvas on which black cherries, roasted lamb, and exotic spices intermingle. Th­e wine finishes with the tapering dark chocolate structure and culminates with hints of vanilla.

 

Conundrum Red Wine 25th Anniversary, ’13

California – $24.15

This dark red wine opens with the aromas of plums and rich berries, its earthiness overlaid with the subtle richness of cocoa. On the palate are concentrated flavors of dried, dark fruit, lush chocolate-covered cherries and a smokiness that makes this wine the perfect complement to many dishes. Sturdy tannins are rounded out by the ripeness of the berries for a texturous but smooth feel.
