TASTING :: OCTOBER 8, 2015

October-8,-2015

Carne Humana White Blend ’14

California – $21.00

Very pale and delicate straw color. Intense fruit aromas of pear lemon custard, pineapple and guava. A crisp and dry character with bright pear tones integrated with subtle citrus flavors and fruity, tropical highlights. The palate is mellow with a slightly creamy mouthfeel that gives way to a long, bright and clean finish.

Elouan Pinot Noir ’13

Oregon – $21.69

Elouan Pinot Noir emulates the successful sourcing philosophy introduced with Meiomi: blending the top Pinot Noir regions together for a richer, more complex style than what you could achieve by sourcing from one small area. In this instance, the grapes are grown in the great Oregon Valleys of Willamette, Umpqua and Rogue. The diversity of these cool climate areas elongates the growing season, developing intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity to differentiate it from any California Pinot Noir.

Beran Zinfandel ’12

California – $21.70

Smoky cedar, vanillin and sweet tobacco flavors blend harmoniously with cassis, cranberry, and cooked dark fruits like warm blackberry pie. Very soft refined tannins are balanced by a fresh acidity.

Beran Zinfandel Napa ’12

California – $43.95

Rich and mouth-filling with ripe flavors of cherry, dark chocolate, coffee and coconut with fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish.

Carne Humana Red Blend Napa ’12

California – $34.00

Hint of sweet tobacco, maple, cherry pie filling, black licorice and an enlivened, bright acidity on the entry that is quickly followed by rich, dark fruits, dried cranberry and sweet oak. Lingering finish.
