TASTING :: SEPTEMBER 21, 2018

Ambassador 2016 Attache

The dark raspberry, plum, herb, vanilla and spice aromas and flavors are rich and high octane. It’s not for the faint of heart but offers plenty of appeal.

Pamplin Family 2015 IQ Red

Blue fruit, herb and spice aromas are followed by red and blue fruit flavors that hollow out on the midpalate.

Domaine du Somail 2015 Menervois “Vin de Plume”

Dark, crimson colour with black highlights. Complex and elegant this wine has aromas of violet, almond, morello cherries, and generous guarrigue. On the palate it is fresh, generous, full-bodied with subtle flower overtones, intense red fruit hints, generous spice, soft tannins, good intensity and long length.

Fraga do Corvo 2016 Mencia

An intense bouquet of red cherry preserves, prune and suggestions of sandalwood. This shows nice richness and depth on the mid-palate, yielding to deep strawberry liquor, red cherry compote and cola flavors while maintaining underlying acidity through the bright finish.

William Church 2015 Viognier

The aromas are fragrant with notes of pear, white peach, herb and honeysuckle. The flavors dance lightly, showing a pretty sense of precision along with a lengthy finish.

Idiot’s Grace 2014 Dolcetto

Fresh plum, blueberries, ciass, black currant tea, herbs, and violets. Lush body, great flavors, and long finish.
